Does the Bible contradicts itself?

The most contradictory piece of literature ever published.it doesn't matter what the subject is, if you can find a passage in the bible to support it, then you will also find a passage against.

Whether the bible is true or not or whether God exists or doesn't in many ways it is irrelevant. If God was somehow proved tomorrow to be false you think everyone is going to suddenly give up his or her religion or even stop following the bible or stop believing in a higher power? For many it is a way of life like those who drink their coffee every morning or those who do their yoga routine. It is what people do and many still will go to church that Sunday despite knowing God is a farce. God is a way for people to reach out to others and their community and to better themselves. It is also used for salvation and the healing of others and also gives hope to those that need it the most. Regardless of being non-fiction or fiction the bible still teaches many good lessons for people to follow or to learn from that is why it is one of the oldest and most printed books of all time.

Indeed there are many people who use religion as a vehicle for 'good', and in these cases I agree with everything you have said above.
Unfortunately, there are others who worry more about the religion itself than its teachings. Their views differ greatly than those you speak of. They are the people of churches who refuse to be progressive, maintaining that gays are evil and proponents of other religions are doomed to hell.
It's easy to spot the latter group. They are the ones who are foolish enough to take the bible literally. These people also spend substantial amounts of time doing research to prove the earth is 6000 years old or disprove various biblical contradictions, when it reality it shouldn't fucking matter.
