He preaches God is about love and forgiveness and gets branded a heretic. Man, no wonder Jesus isn't coming back. If he did, some of these folk would lynch him for for being a Commie Jew. Talibaptists or what?

This Pastor sounds like a Pastor and not First Class Jerk like the Reverend in Florida with the Koran burning (whatever his F name is).

Yes if Jesus came back down to earth one of two things would happen either

A) As Shep pointed out he would be lynched for being commie, jew especially
coming from the ME.

B) Jesus would be so pissed off that 80% of all Religious leader would spontaneously
Combust for being such a greedy group of leeches who pervert everything he over
stood for.

What kind of God condemns the majority of people to everlasting torment?

In that brand of religion is that American south people scoop this us hook like and sinker. The folks to promote this are always careful to show that the audience is in the "saved" category.

It's been employed by the church to control people since it first came to power, ie once past the early Christian stage. In fact probably Jesus' disciples misunderstood him to mean that, since they were arguing about who would get to sit on his right side in heaven. I don't know what the Muslims say about this question - I believe they are more tolerant in the sense that anybody who follows their own belief system will be OK. Doesn't stop them from trying to kill infidels in this life tho.

Imagine there's no heaven...
