Isn't that Commandment #7?

I'd look the other way if Hobby Lobby was in Canada. Their US stores apparently have a very good selection of model kits at bulk prices, not a handful bare-bones ancient Revell kits that Michaels has in their Canadian stores. As an addict to this hobby this means a lot to me, to the point that I'd shut my conscience off altogether to shop at HL. Sad but true!

Same here. I used to go to Michael's a lot, but their shrinking balsa and basswood racks started to bother me almost as much as their prices. My other pet peeve with Michael's is the lack of cashiers no matter what time or day you visit a store.
In contrast, I have a friend who was visiting the USA a few times a year just to go to Hobby Lobby and pick up stuff. She mentioned that they're selection, prices, and staff were tops which is what kept her going back. The average shopper isn't going to care about stolen artifacts (let alone know about them) when making their trip to a store.
It's unfortunate that we don't have the selection when it comes to hobby and craft stores like we used to. There were always plenty of independent stores, places like Leisure World (which was awesome!), as well as reasonable prices. Believe it or not, I've started to pick up stuff for crafts and hobbies at Dollarama, as it's close by and has a decent selection at this point in time.
We need Hobby Lobby in Canada.

If not hobby lobby something similar! I’m lucky around here but they are mostly sewing and yarn places. Which doesn’t always carry things for other crafts. Michael’s is pricey and rarely has anything I’m looking for.

We have DeSerres here in Québec and I know that there are a few in the ROC. There's also Imaginaire that is part craft store but mostly a geek store as they have Manga's, comic books, figurines, collectibles, Magic, games and everything Warhammer. I like to shop at both of these.
