i think i could go so far as to say deep down youre really not a bad person B_C but its obvious youre haunted by demons...your anger of the treatment of natives in residential schools is justified but not when its directed towards us..i talked to this native gentleman whos getting 10,000$ and hes NEVER even set a foot in a residential school..his name was merely on the roster..now you say your dad had a pin pushed through his tounge for speaking his native lingo...sounds good for at least 100,000$..why do you only look at the negative aspects and ignore the generous compensation thats being awarded..for every priest that was a pedophile there was probably 30 who lived very godly lives..all i'll say is start living in the present and let the past remain the past..you'll be doing the biggest favor for yourself as well as everyone else..you claim youre a christian...fine..why do you allow satan a victory..i'm sure he giggles with glee when he sees the anger you spew out..please take my advice to heart..i dont think you'll regret it

   

A little off topic but you might be interested in that Grant McEwan wrote of a tribe of Indians along the Rocky Mountains (in an Alberta history book from the 60s/70s) who practiced a form of Christianity complete with a cross that had been passed down to them from a medicine man and his visions. They had been practicing the religion for hundreds of years before the whitey came but when he did, he slaughtered them all believing this tribe to be a trick of the devil.

What kind of Christian are you?

I always refer to the song of equality in my childhood:

Their is no superior race. All races are equal. We are all born equal.


For the record I am 'White' but its only one minor detail about me that should mean nothing to anybody.

   

It's all tongue in cheek. He singles out the whites because he thinks we require God's special attention in his warped mind. I can't believe so few people see this based on his past comments. His apology is disingenuous.

   

All I know is the Bible is actually pretty Liberal in the sense its believe all man is born equal, and teaches tolerance and love for all man, help your neighbor, etc.

This poster seems like one who is spinning the Bible to his own agenda.

They were the first church!

I am Protestant because I disagree with their church, but I don't hate Catholics or their belief, its just I see things differently then them in different Biblical aspects.

   

arent they something?? i've tried to convince him the catholic church is the foundation of all christian sects but he refuses to accept it....now do i justify his anger at the treatment of natives by the priests in the residential schools..absolutely..but the merchant law firm from right here in regina won a class action suit for these abuses..if you read a few posts up i was talking to a gentleman whos getting 10,000$ for nothing more than having his name on the roster of a residential school..he never even so much came near the place..and each case will be assessed according to the magnitude of abuse...the natives won big-time...what more can B_C ask for??sometimes the system works...sometimes it doesnt..but in this case the natives were awarded very handsomely...it doesnt heal emotional scars but its not like this is a perfect world..i am both a catholic and a christian...and when B_C tries to spew hatred towards us all hes doing is giving satan amusement..is that what you want B_C?? to amuse your mortal enemy...PLEASE get over the past and look to the future...its pretty rosy for your ppl if you only open your eyes to it..dwelling on the past is a perfect recipe for mental illness..and i speak from personal experience on this score

   

the catholic church fell to the clutches of evil ppl in high power and committed horrible atrocities..when you look at the destruction of the aztec and mayan cultures since their science(which was very well developed and had a cosmic understanding equal to the hindus) but was detroyed by cortez since it wasnt covered in the bible..and how about the holy inquisition? where ppl were robbed of their belongings,tortured into confessing to being in league with satan..and to add insult to injury they actually had to pay their torturers.the underlying objective of the witch-hunts were to rid society of "undesirables"(the elderly,lonely and the mentally ill)..then came along the protestant movement..which encompasses B_C's born-again christianity and gave the catholic church the kick in the ass it needed..but i dont judge a christian by what sect they align themselves with..i judge on the sincerity of their relationship with christ..always keep this in mind..god builds bridges...satan builds walls

   

Well, I don't know what "branch" this fits under but I believe in:

Being Born again when you accept Jesus Christ into your heart

Rapture & Judgment Day...sort of like how the Left Behind series depict it.

   

Is BC being forced to write this? Every post I see he is extremely bitter about what happened to the "natives" so I would have to state for the record I feel he is being forced unless he has seen the light We are all natives in Canada now
