Well worth the time.

Some of it doesn't apply in Canada, but the advice is still sound. Just shut the f- up.

There was a wallet sized card I used to have a link to, similar to the Rights cards many Mounties keep in their hats. It enumerated your rights, should you be detained or arrested. First on the list was . . . yup. Shut up.

Not common sense at all. Most people want to explain themselves, particularly to authority. It's hard to stay quiet. But you should. Nor should you agree to a voluntary interview at a police station.

In University my Buss. Law professor, the first thing he told us was never talk to the cops if you are gulity innocent or in the middle ask for a Lawyer ASAP!

The police are not your advocate.They are paid to investigate,arrest and prosecute.Now a lawyer is your personal advocate(and should be for what they get paid).
