The world without white people ....
We might be even more technologically advanced than we are, as the Chinese were almost always decades/centuries ahead of European civilizations. Most things that were 'new inventions' in Europe, like gunpowder, paper, crossbows, stirrups, etc, were in use hundreds of years before they ever were in the West. The biggest and most powerful naval fleet in the world at the time of Columbus was the Ming Navy. However, they chose a isolationist position rather than get into a war with European nations. Of course, sociologically, we'd likely be behind, as China has pretty much always been ruled by a king or a tyrant and the Greeks wouldn't have existed to develop democracy.
Japan definitely would have been a major rival, but in the end, I think China's population and resources would have overwhlemed them. Lord knows Japanese expeditions didn't fair too well (in Korea).
A major civiliization may (but likely not) have arisen in Africa, while the Aztecs and Incas would have fought for control of the Americas like Bart said, unless the Chinese/Japanese colonized it.

Just myself - I would see Japan taking the role historically served by Britain in this alternate universe.

That definitely could have been possible.

Woah.
Nice map.
Green people exist? Coooool.

Forget that , i never we had underwater blue people

Also ... What's with Australia?
Wow, for someone who goes on about natives all day, you sure are clueless.
The Natives of Australia(Aboriginees) are pretty darn black...
BTW, my money is on the Incas winning. Before the Civil War, they were very stable, had a rather organised and impressive army, would have been more vast and stable than that of the Aztecs, and they had Iron. The Aztecs had flint and wicker.
I heard somewhere that the Incas had iron, but I'll get back to you on that...
Read this, and you see how truly awesome the Incas were.

My Ancestors!!! We(unlike Aztecs) were not exterminated.
However, the Mayans with their temples, math and astrology and the Aztecs with their pyramids are pretty kick ass.

Finding out where white people come from is an impossible task , maybe one can only throw the idea toward the concept of being a creation of slaves to solve the problem of going forth to populate the earth and the survival of the worlds population to reach that success . That would be a horrible joke but claims to advances in agriculture , science , and technologies point in that direction . White domination is not a domination at all , the difference is that for some odd reason white people were able to mimic everything which already existed and created by other cultures to a greater degree . So the question remains by Ruez . How do we know none of this would have happened anyway without white people.... because historically the Chinese obviously showed signs of pointing in the direction of advancments for purposes of survival in populating the earth . We must be aliens . Forget the skin pigmentation concept there are to many things which go against the theory .
The Chinese culture (and pretty much all Asian cultures) eschew innovation. The changes that occur in their cultures are *always* due to outside influences. If you check their history you'll see what I mean.
Marco Polo - a member of what was at the time an inferior society - travelled to China to see what was there. To the minions of The Middle Kingdom there was no reason to explore their world as the only part of the world that mattered to them was China. Polo initiated the wave of influence the West would have on China. Japan is another example of a nation that was in thrall to the status quo prior to the arrival of the Dutch traders and, even then, they managed to maintain a veritable Middle Ages right up until the US Navy dropped anchor in Tokyo Bay.
Asian companies maintain development offices in the USA because their own people are loathe to innovate.
Innovation is not seen as a positive in their cultures.
Because when you innovate you criticize that which came before and this is rude to them.
The Chinese may have invented gunpowder (some say the Arabs did it first and that's how China got it) but it was a European who actually did something with it.
Other than gunpowder name one thing they've invented that no one else had before them?
exactly this is why it is confusing to what the purpose of white people is since we can argue to no end to where us aliens came from . It just may be a very prehistoric looking environment without the white people . Who knows . I wonder if there will ever be green people .

Possible the green people are off springs of Hulk Hogan .

i personally think the chinese would have done just as well. Im sure that they would have come up with an asian version of Jerry Springer.
But i have to say, nothing beats a good old fashion girl-fight on Jerry

The Aztecs were not exterminated either. Today they're called
Mexicans.
True enough, but need I remind you of the near extermination of the Aztec peoples? They got it bad my friend...

It's
Karma.
The Aztecs exterminated the Anasazi, the Fremont, the Toltecs, they came close to annihilating the Hopi, the Pueblo, the Cahuilla, the Cupeno, the Kumeyaay, and they certainly annihilated or enslaved whole peoples whose tribal names are lost to history.
My guess is that Huehueteotl had an obligation to set the universe into balance after all the excesses in the name of Huitzilpochtli.

The Chinese have invented plenty...arguably the four most important are; gunpowder (already mentioned), paper, the printing press, and the magnetic compass.
SourceOther inventions include the crossbow, noodles, and the wheelbarrow to name a few. Perhaps the last 5-10 generations of Asians aren't great inventors like Westerners, but before the Renaissance, they were far superior to everyone else.
If Asians can't invent/innovate, why is that the man with the most inventions to his record is Japanese?

However, I would agree that in general, Japanese are not as obsessed with inventing things like Americans, but there are those who are amazing inventors.

I actually watched a good series guns, germs, and steel. It explained why some nations are so far ahead of other and where did this gap arise from. Anyway it came down too it is all due to resources people had. Europe unlike North America or even Africa had cows, chickens, pig’s horses, and many other things to increase food output which lead to surplus, which gave people, free time to think of other things. This did not originate there though it came mostly from the Middle East and the Fertile Crescent. White people are not so much superior then others or any race is it is just some have had access to more things than others. But also Europe was a war-waged place too. People had to advance or be killed so to speak because many threats from other people were there. Look at the last century and how technology exploded. Two world wars and a cold war, which saw the western world against itself and science, was a key to breaking the deadlock. Most of humanity is pretty much the same it is very resourceful, intelligent and given the right resources can achieve anything.
Oh and about the scale I think it represents the different pigments and where they were most prominent in their native areas. People in Asia migrated to North America so that is why they are like that kind of tan colour. I'm not even sure how it exactly works. This is the only one I could find though. Here are some different people of the world.
