The Copenhagen Interpretation of particle physics developed through the work of Neils Bohr and Werner Heisenberg. Heisenberg argued with Albert Einstein about details of the theory, and both were influenced by the philosophy and physics of Ernst Mach and philosophy of Karl Marx.

Marx's philosophy was twisted evil by Lenin and Stalin, but it has been used for good by Bohr and Heisenberg.

It's less being afraid of Marx and more like thoroughly disgusted, both by the vapid & empty nonsense he wrote and by what his most zealous adherents inflicted on the world in the name of his bogus theories.

It's nothing but the flip side of libertarianism. It fails 9999 times in a row in its attempts to achieve utopia & typically leaves nothing but destruction in its wake, but it's true believers are still convinced it will work like a charm the 10000th time around. And at least the libertarians, for the most part, don't have an ocean of unjustly shed blood as the true enduring legacy of their belief system.

Which is a testament to the utility of Marx's work as a whole. To say Marx was a proponet of communism is the same as saying a photo-negative is an accurate representation of a picture. It fundamently misunderstands what Marx was doing.

From Robespierre, the original eliminationist along with his fellow maniac Jacobins (even if they predated Marx's theories by a few decades), through to Pol Pot it's been convincingly proven that it's a key feature of the philosophy to descend into mass murder & not the exception. Everywhere it's tried people die in endless millions in a torrent of bloodshed that only slows down when enough of the official "enemies" have either been killed or have run away into exile. And none of this ever happens unintentionally or "by accident". Whatever supposedly beneficial side effects of Marxism that might occur in other fields are infinitely small compared to the pure evil that erupt in order to satisfy the main tenets of the primary ideology.

Every authoritarian regime descends into bloodshed. The authoritarian is all powerful, and must be seen that way. Therefore, it must be others that are responsible for the ill that befalls society. Whether that internal enemy is intellectuals, religious minorities, or Xuigurs only depends on the dick tater du jour.

Stalin had his, Pol Pot had others, Pinochet liked to make people fly; Bordaberry was quick, Xi will take some time.

It's amazing the parallels between the deranged Marx 'supporters' (like tankies for example) and the anti-science movement like Kennedy/Rogan. Neither are experts in their fields and yet they muppet the key talking points so well that the lay people who are not versed in the relevant field of expertise can't tell the difference between the peer reviewed and tested theories and tin-foil hat rubbish.

This is the slippery slope that happens when the unqualified 'just asking questions' trolling create a frankinsten of their own grift that becomes a movement with an inerta all its own. Extemly dangerious as this is a giant with no direction or soul of its own it is a construct/gollum that will crush underfoot without eithics.

No no no!
Ronald Reagan singlehandedly won the Cold War so therefore everything Marx said is invalid and a lie.
