Someone get Al Gore on the phone, fast.
Polar ice caps on Mars have been shrinking in the last 3 (martian) years. Since there is no human polution to cause this, we can pretty much assume that it's the same natural process that's affecting Earth.

Yeah the problem with it is that I believe the same theory will take place here ...I wish I didn't but I do and you're right , the percentage in which man made global warming or pollution has to do with it is very little but it doesn't hurt to keep pollution in check . CO2 emmissions is the least of our problems ...what is in the land fills is .

As far as I checked, not even GWB has come out with a war on clean air & water yet. I also definately don't believe that we rank so highly on the global polluters list. Stats like that slide so easy from Rick's one ton challenge BS that I just don't see them as believeable, expecially when none of the worlds worst polluted cities are in Canada.

I definately agree that we need to keep our land clean but paying others to clean up their lands is retarded, and that's all I see Kyoto doing.

yeah I think the Banff Accord would be better .

send everything via out of our solar sywtem or toward the sun to help fuel it and speed up global warming , I want summer 24/7 , 365 days per year . XD

By carefully ignighting ground burst nuclear weapons, we can use "nuclear winter" to combat the effects of "global warming". :-)

ridenrain @ Fri Jan 05, 2007 8:12 am

SHow me where you get that. I hear that all the time but no one ever questions it.

Similar thing: We get slammed here in GVRD because we are suposed to waste large ammounts of water. The numbers are bantered around and we're always badgerred to reduce and conserve. Turns out, like most other cities, the waterworks infrastructure leaks, in some cities from 30 to 60%. Do we expect the city officials to admit that? No, it's politically easier to blame citizens and work off their guilt.

ridenrain @ Fri Jan 05, 2007 8:43 am

No. I meant that "fact" that Canadians are such huge polluters.
China's doing well enough at polluting the world without our help.

If you are really claiming ignorance here riden then you really got to get your head out of your ass.

If Canada had a population the size of China we would have blocked out the sun by now.

Hahah dumb shit, never been to China eh

There are places where the sun peeks threw the brown haze everyday. Well almost everyday.

On my next trip to Asia I'm going to video tape stacks to use against Dion and his band of useless aholes for next election. You sitting in your little room in Canada have no idea what goes on in the real world.

Quite true. National Geographic recently had a story about the unbelievable pollution in northern China and how the government there is hard at work creating a toxic wasteland. And, as you said, the sun is not visible many days because of the pollution.

Such conditions would never be tolerated in the West, especially Canada.

That would be the sun.

(You have to spell it out for Avro, you see.)

I'm giggling my ass off this morning.
This pretty much torpedo's man as the cause of global warming and Wajid Khan slammed Dion badly in todays press converence, but what are the top threads today?? All fluffy BS
Guess some folks don't want to discuss issues. :-)
