I'm sorry, you're saying you don't subscribe to doomsday scenarios yet you add in about raising the Earth's temp by five degrees and have devastating impact on humanity? That paragraph contradicts that one line.

Devastating impact on specific areas. Canada may not be adversely harmed but what about the island nations like the carribean? How about areas that will receive more frequent and more violent storms?

When I say I don't subscribe to a doomsday scenario I mean the human race as a whole and the planet in general. That doesn't mean specific areas won't face devastation.

Of course this doesn't take into account unforseen factors that we cannot predict.

Lol so in 258 years we have increased the CO2 by 100 parts per million. Oh god no call the Enviro Police. Luckily We will all be long dead before any of this shit matters.

Well... One of the founders of Greenpeace, no longer associated with Greenpeace, claims he left as Greenpeace is now a political group and has very little to do with environmentalism...

He has publicly stated global warming IF real could be averted by planting more trees and plants instead of allowing Brazil and other nations to clear cut the rain forests.... Instead the UN would rather make the US, Canada, UK, etc out to be the bad guys....

Patrick Moore is the Greenpeace founder who claims 'global warming' is not man made....

$1:

Prognosis : Environmentalism has become anti-globalization and anti-industry. Activists have abandoned science in favor of sensationalism. Their zero-tolerance, fear-mongering campaigns would ultimately prevent a cure for Vitamin A deficiency blindness, increase pesticide use, increase heart disease, deplete wild salmon stocks, raise the cost and reduce the safety of healthcare, raise construction costs, deprive developing nations of clean electricity, stop renewable wind energy, block a solution to global warming and contribute to deforestation. How sick is that?

Please read complete article at http://www.ccfassociation.org/moore28jan05.htm

He is also interviewed in the video "The Great Global Warming Swindle"

It's all about politics and nothing to do with science...

Patrick Moore is as much an activist now as he was when he was with Greenpeace, only now he's on the other side. But he continues to be inflammatory adn make grand statemetns that he can't really back up. What does he mean when he says "If global warming is real..."? Is it or isn't it? Take a stand, buddy.
