Hi there,

I'm a student at the University of Business Economics in Utrecht (the Netherlands).

For a report I search for information about the Canadian (professional) 3D Printer market.

Is there any nice Canadian who can help me?

I look for the next kind of information:
- The size of the Canadian 3D Printer markets.
- The suppliers of 3D Printers in Canada.
- The expectations and future trends for the Canadian 3D Printer market.
- Who are the buyers of the 3D Printers in Canada?

Every information about the 3D Printer market is very welcome. :)

I hope there is someone who can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Greeting from Holland,

Lars

Perhaps you might have a useful link for us that tells us more about 3D printing?

Don't know much about 3D printers but he can have my old HP printer in exchange if he sends me a nice clean Dutch prostitute with all her vaccination records and two big orange Glad garbage bags full of weed.

PS: the HP printer doesn't work anymore.

Attached some links about the 3D printer market in general/wordwide, I hope they are useful for you. I search for information specific on the Canadian market, but I can't find anything on the internet. I hope you can help me.

Sorry, Lars, my question was to see if you were a spammer. You're not. [B-o]

Tiny and insignificant. Every big box store lists them on their website but you'll never actually see one in their store. Everyone is same as everywhere else - what the hell can you make on them?
Now food printers, that's where to look. I swear to Jesus the Girl Guide & Oreo cookies are made with a food printer. How the hell else can you make cookies the size of a quarter and double-stuffed when the filling's two microns thick.

Everything! They are the closest thing we have to Star Trek 'Replicators' so far.

Addidas uses them to print custom made in-store shoes, there is one on the ISS to print things they need, you can get a number of different models for your home to create things you need as well. Some models will even print parts to re-create themselves!

They are basically a solution looking for a problem.

My son made a Darth Vader head with the public library's 3D printer. I heard some dude printed a working pistol.

That is all I know of 3D printing.

He's also the guy who let people 3d 'print' (CNC Mill) their own lower receivers for AR-15's. Anyone who would actually use a 3d printed gun doesn't like having hands or arms. 8O

Boeing is going 3D print a bunch of parts for the 787 Dreamliner to reduce costs on milling huge titanium parts.

3D printing has been around industrially for a long time. Home operations really took off when 'Makerbot' first built a 3D printer for home use. Several others followed. Makerbot actually used their own 3d printers in their factory to print parts for their production line. Canadian Tire also has a Dremel model on their website, but I've never seen one in store.

Once had to buy a 2nd hand tranny because I could not get just a small nylon part for the shifter gate. Would have worked there.
But I was thinking of buying one 3 years ago and couldn't come up with a valid reason.

I've designed a board game and so has a friend. We're going to use his machine to print the plastic parts for the marketing samples. They'll be done by normal methods if it reaches production levels.
His wife's an artist, she's bringing colored "Monopoly Man" tokens she modeled to replace the usual car, shoe, hat, etc tokens

Exactly! A solution looking for a problem.

I've wanted one for along time, just haven't allocated budget for it.
