Im just trying to figure out why hasnt Ontario gotten more into renewables? We got the space. Unless private energy has more control than I realize then the govt should be using its resources to lower its costs for its citizens.

Yeah, I don't think the Ontario government has ever thought about windmills or solar farms. Somebody should tell them!

I am guessing that while Ont rate are high(er) than most provinces, it's the extra charges in transmission and distribution fees that are really hurting the most. I know here in AB, 75% of my utility bill is not the actual power i USE, it's these other 'fees and taxes' that make my bill so high.
