Canada Kicks Ass
Is Fort McMurray single handedly destroying the Planet

From the unusual weather patterns in British Columbia and record winds , snow and rain Fall , to the record snow falls and undetectable blizzards in Alberta , Saskatchewan and Manitoba , to the unusual warm weather in eastern provinces and thaw in Northen Territories , while Southern praires are appearing to be much colder than them on given occasions .Is Ft McMurray causing catastophic weather parterns so enormous that it single handedly caused such a factor that it could even be responsible for Katrina and Rita ? Is it the most northern poluters which contribute to Global climate change the most ?

Well, since you asked, no. Fort McMurray is a city in northern Alberta. It does not pollute. There are roughly 55,000 people living there. Not the largest population of Canadian cities.

I would say people in Vancouver or Toronto contribute more to global warming than the City of Fort McMurray does.

Yea, I'm'a hafta go with the flow here and say no. The tar sands operations near there certainly aren't helping, but they're not destroying the world by any stretch.

Definitely No.

Global dimming is what's causing the chaos...and really, Russia experiences 30% of global dimming, far higher than North America's 10%....

Global dimming is reflecting the sun's rays back out into the space, while trapping the heat on the Earth at the same time. It's a global problem and one that cannot be pinpointed to any specific place.

I'd say that the world's addiction to fossil fuels is hurting the planet far more than Fort McMurray is.

It is a large part of why Canada's CO2 emissions have increased so much the last few years, but not the single-handed reason for recent Weather Events.

Global dimming, must be why I've left my shades at home the last month.
Thought things were getting darker but attributed it to my advancing age.
Damn,we have to burn a hole in the ozone layer to stop this.

Ziggy bite the bullet and get bifocals like I did, the world is so much brighter now. Careful things are smaller than they appear, like walls and parking spaces and stairs.

In the East it is common knowledge that Toronto is the cause of Global Warming, in fact we blame Torona for everything that happens here. It's a documented fact that Torona sends it's foul weather to the East to keep us in our place. Whatever that is.
