I'd say they were just curious if Canadians are as patriotic as before WWII. We have a long history of underfunding the military when not in conflict, and ramping up very quickly when called upon.<p>

   

Hmmm... Well it makes sense that the military would be nonchalantly asking these questions. It's their business to know whether or not they have backup if they get in a scrap. And since all signs point towards there being a scrap sometime in the not-so-distant future, I'd say it's a fair poll for them to conduct. I'm not sure if I WOULD enlist though. I always believe that violence is not the answer, that we can find other means of settling our differences. I would gladly die for a cause, but to kill... I'm not sure. But if the US comes to take our water... well let's just say I'm undecided as of yet.

   

It wasn't the military asking, it was a Telus poll on my telus news page, which was why I found it interesting...I find it difficult to believe any question doesn't have a reason behind it...

The only aggressor powerful enough to threaten world peace at the moment is the US.

That Telus company must have a superiority complex to ask such a question to us Canadians.

   

It is none of their damn business whether or not we would fight. As was noted above, the US is the most aggressive aggressor country followed by Israel. Are these the countries that plan to attack us? The question is ambiguous and incompetent.
