Team U.S.A has announced their roster for the 2005 IIHF World Hockey Championships which will take place from April 30 to May 15. The U.S will play 2 exhibition games against Team Canada on April 20 in Halifax and April 22 in Quebec City. Also, the U.S will face off in exhibition play against Germany twice in Germany before the tournament begins.

Below is a list of all the players named to Team U.S.A. Also posted is most of the Team Canada roster. Though not officialy released, this is certainly the roster.However, there are about 3 spots not quite filled yet, the rest of the roster has been revealed.

*This leaves 2 vacant spots on the Team Canada roster. Likely candidates to fill the 2 remaining spots are Mike Fisher, Michael Ryder, Jonathon Cheechoo, Justin Williams, Alex Tanguay, Mike Ribeiro and Jan Alston.

Canada will play 2 exhibition games against Team U.S.A as mentioned above as well as 2 additional exhibition games. One against Latvia in Riga on April 25 and the other against the Czech Republic in Prague on April 28.

Looks like we have a winning team once again ladies and gentlemen. Can't wait to see Canada play the U.S on April 20th!
