Good for leaf fans as it's time for a change. Not sure what they were waiting for. Even worse when they passed on Scotty Bowman

   

I doubt that this will help the Leafs anytime in the near future. They need to make wholesale changes and get some new players in there. Totally clean house. Trade Sundin. Get some draft picks and USE them instead of TRADING them.
I'm a Habs fan so I couldn't care less if Toronto ever wins another cup. But I do want to see a Toronto-Montreal Final before I die. Close in '93 but that was then, this is now.

   

Ferguson's incompetence was no excuse for the Leafs ownership to behave in the sneaky and underhanded way they dealt with him for this whole season. The politics at the head office show that they were just as responsible as Ferguson for all the things that went wrong. Way to stay classy, Leafs. And Laffs fans wonder why Dave Keon still won't have anyting to do with these jerks. Here's hoping that the trend set in place a long time ago by Harold Ballard lasts for another five or so decades. Canada's team, my ass. I'll cheer for Edmonton or Sather's Rangers before I ever cheer for the Leafs.
