Unfortunately for you, today was a day that people will look back to a decade from now and say that was the final nail in the coffin for the great ManU teams of the past decade plus. This is the emphatic end of an era of dominance, which was essentially over when Abramovich bought Chelsea, but maybe also when, coincidentally not because of, Beckham being sold. Of course they will be competitve - a club the size of ManU always should be. But it may be many years before you see them lift the Premiership trophy again.
As much as it pains me, I agree.
