NASCAR blows
Hillbilly redneck racing, got to like country and your sister to enjoy it.
Open wheel racing is far superior especially F1 and the new A1 looks good to. Guess what? They turn in two different directions in a race.....imagine it.....two. No circles.
Nothing beats a standing start either, none of theis rolling start bullcrap.
I found the real reason Avro likes F1

Waltrip took quite the little ride though. I was surprised he in such a good mood when he was interviewd.

I don't think he was in such a good mood. He was making jokes but he was very shaken and i think he just wanted to go home instead of talking to the camera.
Pretty good 'dega race though. except for the fact that a lot of good drivers got taken out early in those 'medium' wrecks. Much more exciting when it happens with 20 to go and there is half the field taken out, more dramatic. If you 3 favourite drivers are out of the race early then you kinda loose a bit of interest.

Yes Waltrip was shaken up you, could tell. Sadler seems to keep getting the sh*ty end of the stick this season and he wasn't very happy at all with JJ turning him around. What I find funny though is that everytime that Johnson wrecks somebody he points the finger at someone else. For instence, yesterday he said that "someone" from behind him got into the back of him which in turn got him into Sadler. But the highlights clearly show that Dale Jr., who was the closest car, didn't touch until Johnson started to turn Sadler around. Yes he was close to him, but I don't think it was enough to bump into him.
Then we go the Queen City, my favorite town in the USA and they run 15-20 laps and wreck...
...not good..

Well, the seasons startin up again.
Picks for the 500? Championship?
I'm thinking Jimmy Johnson for the 500, Jeff Gordon for the Championship

Jimmy Johnson and pit crew stole the show, from the deke the pit crew pulled off on the second last lap to the nose to nose finish. All topped off with a huge burnout/brakestand at the end.

His pit crew jumped out ready for a pit stop and everyone pulled in........except him,it was a good deke.

Its great that creative strategy is alive an well today.
If only creative engineering were allowed: One thing that I would like to see change (but will never happen) is to throw away all the equalization rules for the different makes. Right now it really makes no difference what car you drive, just what organization you work for. I would like to see chevys dominate . . . superspeedways, fords on the short tracks, dodges on the road courses or something like that, due to actual manufacturer design. I have heard that they are going the opposite and creating an IROC style care, common to all teams for some races next year. If they do that they will be turning their back on the founders of the series
