Simple question. NFL versus CFL.
CFL Longer, wider field, deeper end-zone and 3 downs
NFL 4 downs
Both. Each has their charm. And being a hardcore football fan, I watch ALL leagues. CFL, NFL, NCAA, NFL Europa when it was still around, and some CIS.

CFL, any day of the week.
CFL. NFL play is more conservative, slower paced and rarely lives up to all the media hype. Plus in the NFL, a team is crowned "world champion" without having played half the teams in league. A casual NFL fan may have little familiarity with many of the opponents facing his team in a given season simply because the league is too big for all but a die-hard fan to know all the teams well.
In the CFL, teams match up 2 or 3 times in the regular season so even a first-time viewer comes to know all the comparative strengths and weaknesses between the different teams and sees how they adjust to each other over the course of the season. They become familiar with the various marquee players across the league in a way that isn't as easy in the NFL and can more easily enjoy the various rivalries and intrigues that comes along with mid-season and off-season trades (Burris, Fantuz, Bruce, etc.)
Football embodies the two worst aspects of modern society: violence punctuated by committee meetings. It's baseball season yet.
CFL, unless I was a Player. The $ is in the NFL.
two different games like fastpitch and hardball, rugby league and rugby union or rounders and cricket.
NFL, and it's not even close.
No No...hardball players make more $ than the others, therefore the others are all no-talent bush league amateurs otherwise they'd be playing hardball and making real money.
You have to admit that there's a talent difference between both leagues, although some players "game" can be more suited to one or the other. That shouldn't matter though... I love the CFL because of the Als, of course, but I'd probably still watch it because it's a different game.
There's a big talent difference between the NBA and college basketball too, but I prefer college basketball.
Depends which type of game I'm in the mood for - if I'm interested in watching a more conservative game that features lots of running plays, then the NFL. But if I want a fast-paced, no-holds barred game based largely on throwing, then it's the CFL.
Most days, it's CFL for me.
If I want to watch a running game, I'd sooner watch rugby or Australian rules.
