I'm thinking of attending a ballgame at Rogers Centre. I've been to Toronto several times, but I'm not intimately familiar with the city. Just wondering if someone could provide their thoughts on the place as far as parking, good section of town or not, ease of finding etc.

The parking is all around the park so that should not be a problem. The nieghborhood is a goodone. Finding it is easy as a matter of fact you cant miss it its right below the CN tower.

I am from NYC but lived in Toronto for 3 Years saw alot of games there. I Liked going to the Hardrock cafe to watch the games. Back then you had to pay 20 bucks to get in but could then use it towards the food. You could also just stay in the Hotel in the Stadium something worth looking into.

Yeah I would always go to Yankee games I lived in walking distance from the sky dome one time went to all four games in a set. I was kinda burnt out after that though. Its really nice because it could be a relaxing day because not as many people go to Jays games like they once did.

There is ample parking available right at the Rogers Centre, underground to boot.
It'll cost you $20 Canadian though but comparitively speaking.. that's fairly reasonable.

Like someone else mentioned, the CN Tower stands right next to the Dome so that's a must see.

You're minutes away from the entertainment district too.
Same for the Hockey Hall of Fame..

Both are within a reasonable walking distance.

And unlike Yankee Stadium after dark.. yes, you're in a good part of town.

Thanks for the reply. I actually attended a game last week. I had only vague directions to get to Rogers Centre. I got off the QEW at one exit hoping to see signs for the Centre. No signs, but I just headed in the general direction of the CN tower. Found a nice parking lot ($20 dollars US if you don't have Canadian money.) Nice stadium, but not a big fan of the artificial turf. Probably more cost efficient than grass, but you can't beat a nice grass field. Traffic was a bit hectic after the game, but all in all a good experience.

I'm with you on the artificial turf.

But in their defence, Rogers did lay down that artificial grass turf this year and finally got rid of the old astro-turf that everyone hated.

Is it real grass? No.. but when you have a multi-use stadium like that, with it being used year round, a real grass field isn't an option.
