This is a good example of a country that is more interested in the profits of corporations than people. It sees, for example, the security of the Canadian food supply for Canadians as secondary to corporate profit and control for large American, often subsidized, corporations. The lumber dispute has everything to do with the United States trying to force Canada to privatize its forests in the interests of US corporations.<br /> <br /> Our government does often does the same thing for its corporations. It encourages out-sourcing of jobs to foreign countries where labour is cheaper to increase corporate profits. It encourages Canadian capital to move to tax havens.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
