Going in a couple weeks. It'll be my 3rd time there, 2nd time for the wife. I have a pretty decent handle onthe city, but this time I want to get out of the city for a bit. Planning on a renting a vehicle of some kind and going for a drive in the desert.

Trying to decide between renting a harley or a convertible car of some kind. And trying to decide where to go. Got it narrowed down to Valley of Fire State park or Red Rock canyon, but I'm happy to listen to suggestions from people who've spent time in the area.

Went to the Grand Canyon last time, and as spectacular as it was it's a little further than I want to go this time. Made for a very long, though satisfying, day last time.

If you will opt for a convertible don't forget to bring a cap and lot of sunscreen so you wouldn't get a sunburn.

I would choose a big sedan with a powerful AC 8)

Try some Vegas deals. Such as, Exclusive VISA Offer: 25% off rates at the Hard Rock Hotel and so on. [B-o]

Hoover Dam. It's a must see if you are in Vegas. Not too far from the main strip. I've been there countless times when driving to Vegas from south Arizona. Truly breathtaking.
