More at the link.

I'm really just finding out about this having been on pretty much radio silence over the weekend. This is all just about 60km away from me and out my window right now you can't even see the coastal mountains it's so smoky. 8O

Damn that’s just awful. It seems like the whole west coast of NA was on fire this year.

Even worse, 10 have died now too.

Yea, that wind seems to have caused hell on Earth, just like for Fort Mac last year and BC this year.

:(

Pictures and coverage are very devastating. What a terrible year we are having everywhere for wildfires.

Whenever I read about terrible, costly wildfires such as this one, I always think about this song by Death Cab for Cutie..

Okay, the wind is blowing smoke from the Yuba County fires into Sacramento and the air quality here right now is hideous. I can only imagine how the people near the fire are doing.

Here's the view out my window right now. Usually it's crystal clear.

Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland as well. Hope your lungs work ok Bartman. Mine sure didn’t when the skies around here looked like that.

I was in our 'clean room' earlier and STILL could smell smoke. It's that bad.

Thanks for the kind thoughts! [B-o]

Only advice I have, is put sprigs of mint in some water, and drink lots of it. Keeps the throat from getting too scratchy.

Normally I'd just get in the car and go somewhere else that the air is clean. Right now that means driving to Colorado. :|

Though we lost some structures when the fires were burning around here, Bart - most of the smoke was from the trees and vegetation. I would think the smoke in California is a mixture of burned vegetation and all the materials from the immolated neighborhoods, making it quite a bit more toxic. Please take care of yourself. It is heartbreaking to read of the deaths and destruction with no end in sight.
