Take the test!

1 wrong. Didn't know about the N 200 or N 400 forms.
45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.
I got 45%

Do you have what it takes to become a citizen?
You answered 55% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:
0-20%: Maybe you're still thinking too much about the Old Country.
25-40%: Mmmm. Do you really want to be a citizen? This kind of performance isn't going to impress those nice immigration folks.
45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.
65-80%: Hey, you may make a good citizen yet! Look at your wrong answers and a little revision should do the trick.
85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)

DrCaleb @ Fri Jul 06, 2007 11:52 pm
Damn. Missed the 7th amendment, the 13 original states and the chief justice. And Patrick Henry.
75% isn't too bad. For a Canuck.
stratos @ Fri Jul 06, 2007 11:57 pm
Not bad at all DrCaleb
I got 100% but almost missed the one about who appoints the Suprem Court. But I remembered it was a selection commite who accepte or rejected them not appointed them.
The only reason I knew about what form to use for becoming a citizen was do to what Snorkmaiden and I looked into.
DrCaleb @ Sat Jul 07, 2007 12:08 am
I knew the form from a discussion on another site. I thought it was Jefferson who said 'Give me Liberty or Give me Death'.
But I knew the 13 stripes, and what they meant. I was surprised at that. thought I was guessing. But I was sure about 1787 being the year the Constitution was adopted.
stratos @ Sat Jul 07, 2007 12:10 am
You would be supprised how many blurt out 1776 thinking its the decleration of indipendence.
DrCaleb @ Sat Jul 07, 2007 12:11 am
And 'New Zealand' is not a state. That was almost a 'gimmie'. Except for New Hampshire.

I almost did, but then set myself straight. They were not done at the same time. Canada took 120 years between the Declaration of the barfight, and the Constitution . And we still didn't get it right.
