Both of us live in free countriesI guess I am stupid. But I saw the video's of the guy, went to their website. Then saw that His church gave Louis farakhan a lifetime achevment award. And came to an opinion about this orginazation.
Your the one turning a blind eye to whats being said there. Then just cause they say they are christian you believe them

Actually very simple. It is the "progressive" concept that only whites, preferably males can be racists. Anything of a racist nature espoused by anyone of colour is completely acceptable.

The UCC is not much of a church. Your little "Darwin" avatar, for instance, would not raise an eyebrow in the UCC. For that matter, atheists would have little to trouble them at a UCC.

The United Church of Christ (in The U.S.A.) is basically the American version of the United Church of Canada.
Watered down Liberal Christianity.
Although I like the UCC on their gay rights stance, but thats about all. The UCC supports abortion in Canada, thinks God may be a she, and that their is no Hell, and there actually may be no god... (the Moderator of the UCC made that odd atheist type comment a few years ago :S)

As Westmanguy pointed out, UCC leadership doubts the existence of a deity. I'm not sure how that would offend you as an atheist and I certainly meant no offense to you or any other atheists, although I do mean offence to the UCC.
