I am just glad Sarah Palin is no where near the white house and that a black man was able to become leader of a western democracy.

Is this not a racist remark?

Do you not know anything about Black history in America and how much of a historic moment this is. How is what is written there racist?

WTF the republicans boo'ing. John McCain has class, his supporters don't. His speach was good.

They chear when ever Sarah Palins name is mentioned, I can't believe they would want this person leading there country. Many are talking about her running in 2012, I just don't understand.

If I remember correctly, they booed when he said he was at fault. At least that's when I heard it.

Anyway, good for Obama, and good luck. We'll see how he can adapt to both domestic and foreign issues in the next for years, and next time he can't talk about George Bush in 2012.

so I'll never see the day where I'll be able to say "God Bless America".

Sorry to burst your arrogant bubble, but no American gives a shit about you or whether or not you will ever say God Bless America.

Switch "black" with "white" and then tell me that it wasn't a racist remark.

They also booed when Obama's name was mentioned as president. Mccain speech was excellent and tasteful. His only downfall in this election was picking Palin as a running mate.

It's funny reading all you Conservative comment. Bunch of fear mongering with regards to Obama and Canada I think. Its also funny to hear you all to when the Harper conservatives have known he would win and have been looking forward to working with him.

I think its funny you liberals completely ignored Obamas protectionist agenda. Don't fear though the liberals still hold the fear mongering card in Canada, or have you forgotten about the soldiers on our streets or the destroyed health care system we were promised under Harper?

I honesty didn't really care who won, my girlfriend has US Citizenship so she is very happy Obama won, she was even crying... lol. So are so many people on the TV, i find that kinda amusing for some reason.

Its fairly amazing to see the difference in numbers between McCains 3,000 and the almost 1 million in Chicago.

I am just glad Sarah Palin is no where near the white house and that a black man was able to become leader of a western democracy.

Ya,forget about his policies because he's black.

You should look in a mirror Trev and ask why you think it's good for a guy to be pres. just because he's black.

What ever happened to the days when a person voted for what he thought was right, and not just politically correct?

I guess you don’t realize he’d be at 25% of the vote without her.

You might not like her but she is what the base was looking for, McCain was too old too nice and not mean enough.

ziggy, this is also the party that thinks Justin Trudeau would make a good PM just because he's a Trudeau.

Sorry but the hypocrisy amazes me.

roger-roger @ Tue Nov 04, 2008 9:35 pm

I think most of us do realise that, but if I had to choose between Obama's agenda and Palin's I would pick Obama's.
