Wow.....just wow. The hubris and arrogance of this woman is astounding, outdone only by her stupidity. This should almost guarantee two terms for the Democrats.
I think CNN is reading way too much into this. They set up a leading question and then interpreted the answer exactly as they wanted to.
Absolutely. Somebody basically asks her "If you should lose will you run back to Alaska and hide?". She answers no. CNN interprets that as meaning she wants to run as president in 2012.
On the other hand, I bet that thought has run through her mind, and why shouldn't it? In fact is it even a bad idea?
Her energy policies are the only hints of sanity I've heard concerning the issue. "All of the above" makes sense. Investigate all possible energy alternatives, and prop up the economy with available oil while you wait for results. The carrot over the stick makes sense. Encourage big energy to investigate alternatives. Make it worth their while, rather than destroy the economy, and punish the poor through the restriction of available energy. Control the corrupt influence of big oil. She's done it before in Alaska. Preparation for, and adaptation to possible climate crises, over the lunatic assumption climate can be controlled like it's possible to get one's hand on some kind of climate thermostat is common sense. Open scientific study rather than a narrow, one sided conclusion based study, where you assume you already know all the complexities of climate contrary to what existing science is telling you, then leap into policies based on a conclusion already made before all the science is in is a good idea.
She's proven she fiscally responsible in Alaska, and can't be pushed around.
She's weak in international affairs, but by 2012 that can change.
The handlers of this election made some real bone-headed mistakes as far as controlling the face she showed the public, but in 2012 she'd have her own campaign staff. You'd see a different Sarah Palin. The real Palin. They like her in Alaska. There's no reason the rest of America wouldn't.
So yeah, that CNN blip doesn't actually show Palin wants to run in 2012, but I hope she does, and after 4 years of socialism she's going to look awful good.
As far as the second video goes, that's just a warped polemic, and isn't even relevant.
