They're half-right in one respect, and in one respect only. Clinton would have been a bad POTUS, wracked with scandal from day one. The thing they're too stupid to understand is that the only person who could possibly be an even worse president than Clinton is Donald Trump. Instead of the second-worst possible scenario happening we're all subject to living under the very worst-possible scenario having come horribly real.

I really don't think the US is ever going to recover from this, certainly not morally or ethically and they've been on incredibly shaky ground regarding morals and ethics since Nixon. Under Clinton it would have continued disintegrating, despite the temporary respite and lack of scandals under Obama. Under Trump though. The ground isn't shaking. It's collapsed entirely. It's a government now where having morals, ethics, or any sort of a conscience is a massive handicap, and this cavalier tossing away of all decency will absolutely emanate out of the government and infect the populace like a venereal disease. The US as we knew it, which was still mostly good despite it's flaw and silly myths about itself, no longer exists. :|

Thing is, I don't think we'll see anything better for a long time. This is what politics has become in the good old USA.

There's a good chance that it will come here too. :(

Yeah, we're pretty fucked too. The conservatives, both provincially and federally, jumped on the trend are already playing with lukewarm Trumpism and giving more voice to the bible-thumpers. That's like attempting to piss on the electrified third-rail while you're already ankle-deep in water. Nothing good can come from it.

I tend now to look at what's spreading out of the United States as being a political/social equivalent to the early days of the AIDS epidemic. It's going to have to take it's terrible course and build up a heartbreaking toll of ruin and death before it can be cured. It's a generational thing now. We probably won't see it corrected in our lifetimes, if it even can be repaired at all.

We're a long way from that, yet. There is a centre-left consensus where three-quarters of the country lie. There is a far right but they are mostly attached to the West and it doesn't represent much more than a regional rump. The Very Left are similarly marginalized here and never get much traction.

I think that the two party system in the US is poison. The Republicans look at the Dems and say that they're a bunch of Commies even though only 10% of them are. The Dems see the Tea Party and extend it to the whole GOP. The result us that one party is always God given and the other is always the spawn of Satan. We have no such festering divide in this country, even between French and English or between East and West. Few Canadians are willing to go to the brink for their pet hatreds. The split in the US is very old, was not resolved by the Civil war and it still threatens to destroy them

BeaverFever BeaverFever:
Hillary lost the election. She is a private citizen. She is done.

Jabberwalker Jabberwalker:
She's gone,gone,

herbie herbie:
Yeah we do. She was in Vancouver plugging her book the other day and the news outlets gave her 15 seconds. She matters little.

Of course, this is why she shows up at the Grammys.

Because she is done.

Keep falling over yourselves trying to forget this what you were all supporting.

It is the duty of all good citizens to mock this monster whenever possible.

By the way, Martin. Don't let them pay you in Roubles. They're not fit for wiping your ass.

I imagine in twenty years you slorgs will be trotting out old vids of Trump's incoherent babble with a wistful "ah the memories - the winning!" that's almost as sickening as your tongues-up-his-ass worship of the criminal pig that you're engaging in today.

Ha-ha-ha! Well meme'd, meme warrior! Zero empathy or concern for the future and the handcream/kleenex combo is ready to go when he finally nukes someone's city somewhere. But hey, all those libtards who don't support a venal career-criminal as POTUS sure got owned! Making America Great Again by removing one annoying anti-toxic waste disposal regulation at a time? Ha-ha-ha!
