I don't see any reason to be tasteful about Auschwitz. It's baloney, it's a legend. Once we admit the fact that it was a brutal slave labour camp and large numbers of people did die, as large numbers of innocent people died elsewhere in the war, why believe the rest of the baloney?

Irving is retracting his statements under threat of prosecution...which is a coerced statement and not, in my opinion, a valid retraction at all.

Personally, I am repulsed by the legal persecution of revisionists and even the deniers for the very reason that if everything we say about the Holocaust is true then why is it illegal to challenge what is supposed to be a self-evident truth?

Getting past the free speech issue, I find the revisionists & etc. serve the important purpose of making the rest of us validate our own opinions to ourselves.

If you believe the Holocaust really happened just because someone else told you it did that's pretty sad.

Prove it to yourself and then you don't have to worry what some Nazi like Zundel has to say.
