A friend of mine and I had a spare, so we decided to drop into an Ancient History Class. Here's a little quiz that we had to do...
Which Empire was the largest in terms of ancient history?
Hint: It's not what you think it is...
Well how far back. I know ancient, but what is considered ancient? It could be Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Mayan.... What do you mean by largest? Largest amount of land? People? Strength? Geez... Not a very specific question is it...
I'm going to go with the Macedonians on this one. But if not them, then I guess the Persians.
This is a trick question. It even escaped me at first.
Tricks, Ancient as in pre Dark Ages/During Dark Ages; otherwise, it'd be the British Empire hands down...
Vague. Nobody can answer that in terms of "ancient history". Exactly what is your time line? The Persians certainly had the largest empire by the time of classical Greece (600-400 BCE). After that, Alexander the Great obviously did, partitioning that....again vague.
Ancient history? Babylonians? Arkadians? HIttites? Egyptians? Who?
HA! I know what it is! I will PM Arky so I don't ruin it, and I am hoping this is a joke...
Sure you do....Of course, Chinese history is a lot older than western civilization.
Here's another hint: They owned the Chinese...
From those five options, I think I do know what it is.
