Despite what the gay Hollywood movies would have the sheeple believe, the F-35 did not have to be good at much more than transport.

----

The Question: Is Boeing stock a buy or a sell?!?

$1:
“We see the marketplace expanding internationally and it’s creating opportunities then to go back and talk to the U.S. Air Force about what might be future upgrades or even potentially future acquisitions of the F-15 aircraft,” Gene Cunningham, vice president of global sales of Defense, Space & Security, said Friday at the Royal International Air Tattoo in England.
Oh, I get it!
We will need some more war to test these toys out! Got to keep up with the Russians now!!

$1:
“We have a new National Defense Strategy and the Air Force is working through the process of determining what Air Force is needed to meet that new National Defense Strategy and how do you represent that to the world, Gen. James “Mike” Holmes, the head of Air Combat Command, said June 28 at a Defense Writers Group breakfast in Washington.
A new national defense strategy? No more questions!
Nothing to see here. Keep reading the rest of the "news" "story" because there is nothing to see here.

Boeing is a buy for the long haul. So is Airbus.

Both are good companies with solid market penetration and ample amounts of liquidity, capitalization, and credit.

Buying a hundred of these types of F-15, or the infinitely adaptable F-16, and making it our primary fighter for the next thirty years would be a great thing to do. Times being what they are though we shouldn't do it while the Trump regime is in office because giving that sickening little punk an opportunity to crow about how he "bitch-slapped Canada into doing what we're told" is something that absolutely cannot be allowed to happen by the Canadian government.

All things in relation to the US now have to be viewed with Trump's reaction as the first priority. We simply cannot give him any chance at all to get any sort of victory over us, no matter how small or ridiculous it may be. This is the only way you can deal with brats like this. Sacrificing even the smallest bit of pride to him is not acceptable.

Then do so. But skipping the purchase because of some guy who will be gone in about six years is nuts.

Opposing Trump on everything is the entire point. Opposing Trump on everything, and denying him anything he wants every time he wants it, should be the only policy of the Canadian government.

It carries two dozen air-to-air missiles? The entire US Air Force hasn’t collectively fired that many missiles in combat in all the years since Vietnam put together!

That's one hell of a force multiplier, isn't it?

A great fighter no doubt but an all weather fighter is still an all weather fighter no matter how you dress it up. It might be great for the Americans and countries who can afford different aircraft for different roles but for Canada it just isn't practical. Given our small numbers we need a highly competent multi role fighter which pretty means we're out of the running for their new F15.

So I guess we'll keeping buying used till we can get a gov't that's got the testicular fortitude to actually spend money on our military.

Between Boeing trying to kneecap our aerospace industry and Trump being Trump, I think I'd still prefer the Typhoon.
