Didn't one of the officers that killed Robert Dzinski (sp?) end up fleeing the scene of an accident where he killed a motorcyclist and was drunk?

Yup. Ran to the nearest bar and ordered a few shots. Old trick, as there is no way to know if he was drunk before or afterward.

No.
He drank 2 shots at home, after drinking at a party and then killing the biker kid.

Ah yes!

It's the trick that is old, running to the nearest bar. He went home and did the same thing. But he got zero jail time for the obstruction of justice charge, so looks like it worked.

What are the requirements/prerequisite to become a cop in US/Canada?

To my knowledge, there are very different requirements. Police in Canada have to have some sort of training. They can be trained by the local police force; most have their own training programs. The RCMP training is two years, I believe. You can also get training from recognized services, like the British system, or even Military police. But you still have to have some training from the local force or RCMP though.

Having a secondary degree is also encouraged, such as sociology or law degree.

In the US, there really aren't any common standards as to training. I have read some forces will take people fresh out of high school, or with just military training. It varies throughout the US.

A serious question...

Given sensitive history behind, do white police officers are specifically given any kinda instructions regarding black/indigenous community on how to deal with them....

?

They never used to have that type of training but now that we've started mandatory sensitivity training it's all gotten better. ROTFL

The scary part is that these sociopaths can hide their hate filled tendencies till they're hired and then, once hired the Union, Department and City will cover their ass no matter how many complaints you've been accused of or other unethical confrontations their involved in.

And as I pointed out in a previous post they do this same crap to white people at an even higher rate but because whites as a community still trust the police nothing happens and the people assume it was a one off or an accident rather than what it really was. State sanctioned murder.

I honestly don't think that the protesters should be out there just focusing on racism. They should be out there focusing on what the real problem is. A culture of police violence and brutality that is being perpetrated on every citizen by a small group of police who have found the perfect conduit to express themselves by abusing and killing people.

Well said, sir....I have same feeling over this...Police brutality encompasses all.

Oddly, the screening for police tends to weed out anyone who demonstrates high intelligence and independent thinking.

Not a joke. :|

Hello,

I agree with you. It exactly happens like that...May be because that in LEAs or military - You require more obedient "Yes SIR" kinda guys to make the organization run through. Who will follow orders if soldier/cop starts thinking too much or starts making decision on his/her own.

Still....We have seen what this can lead to. A near total anarchy.

Top police hierarchy is responsible here for not acting in timely manner against that chauvin guy.

What a mistake it was

Mark Saunders is gone 8 months early, even as some wanted him to put in another five years.

The covert TPS, OPP and RCMP and their relations have destroyed Canadas reputation and economy. Of this, I am certain. Surely many allies know what is going on also.

Hopefully we can see some deep budget cuts and accountability for TPS with the new Chief of police. Canadians are no longer standing idly by while yet another generation is lost to another 50 years of theft by a new breed of knuckle draggers and apologist politicians.

Thomas Carrique has already put in a year as chief, I hope he makes the right decisions...

Trudeau has 'serious questions' after watching video of Chief Adam's arrest

DrCaleb @ Fri Jun 12, 2020 9:25 am

Keep in mind, the 'arrested' him for expired registration on his vehicle. The fine for that is $230. It is not an arrestable offense. But he was charged with 'resisting arrest', and not for having an expired plate.

This is the same command as I experienced my bully with a badge. Looks like it has gotten much worse.

i think there must be a large credit of false "assaulting a police officer" claims; surely the people have banked at least a couple thousand free punches by now..

If you watch the full video I posted above, Chief Adam does push the taller of the officers (who was doing a good job of de-escalating the situation IMHO) after the officer manhandles Allan's wife, but there is nothing in my opinion to warrant such a violent takedown by the second officer at the end of the video.
