I'm not Catholic, why the hell would I apologise for the sins of the Church of Rome? That's their sin.
Exactly. And by the same token, why would you engage in "white pride."
I don't follow, are you alluding that because I am white I must have white pride?
Not you, necessarily, but from what others, like Coach, have said. They want to celebrate white pride for all the wonderful accomplishments of white people, that they get to take pride in because they were born white.
And Asians celebrate their culture, and blacks celebrate their culture... Point being because we're white we should not be able to celebrate, because we're all horrible people?
N_Fiddledog N_Fiddledog:
Remember that time you thought you were being funny mocking Michelle Malkin, comparing her to Filipino strippers who do tricks with ping pong balls. Maybe not, but I remember it.
No, I don't remember that. I don't think I'd do that now, and if I did it then, it was absolutely racist. I used to be somewhat more colorful in my rhetorical approach back in the day.
Could probably use it again now, to be honest. 2018, and I'm on a Canadian political website being completely outnumbered by holding the position that white supremacy is bad.
$1:
See how easy that is. I even have better reason to smear the slur than you do your lie about Faith.
[/quote]
I don't think I lied about Goldy. She was on a neo-Nazi podcast, was she not? She does espouse beliefs commonly held by white supremacists, does she not?

Well there's always Canada Day.

Well you did.

Well, if you're talking about the Millenial Woes podcast where he nudged her to repeat the 14 words and she did to show there's nothing offensive in the words themselves - then no, it wasn't a neo-nazi podcast and no she doesn't "espouse beliefs" that would identify her as a white supremacist.
I think Millenial Woes self-identifies as something I think I've heard him and his call a "Civil Libertarian." I think I heard a bunch of them discussing it on this YouTube channel I used to subscribe to called RedIce TV.
MW and Red Ice are the type that Faith sometimes gets into trouble by talking to. They're the border guys I was talking about earlier. They won't actually say, "Hate the Jews" for example but they will let slip from time to time, out the sides of their mouths that maybe Jews are not their favorites.
MW and Red Ice are on the border of alt right.
People like Faith, Lauren Southern and Brittany Pettibone are just on this side of mainstream of the border. There's a line they're not crossing but they will on occasion talk to the border dwellers.
Faith did make a larger screw up once before. Almost as large as yours Zip.

She went to Charlottesville. That wasn't the problem. MSM Journalists should have been in Charlottesville. It's to their shame that that they weren't.
Faith as journalist was though. The mistake she made there was going on a podcast of genuine alt-right repute. The claim is they had a link to Stormfront. Stormfront are well across the border into the land of what Thanos calls the Alt-Reich. How far would depend on which representative you talked to on which day, where.
I've never heard that particular podcast but if you know where to find a link by all means post it. Let's see Faith talking like a Nazi if that's what you suggest she did there. You won't though, because even if you could, I know she didn't talk like a Nazi. I've heard enough of her to know how she talks. She's not a Nazi, a white supremacist, or a racist.
Although sometimes I wonder about you. Not.

What you're saying is, white people cannot be proud of being white nor celebrate accomplishments of white people because some white people did some bad things in the past.
Ignoring that every group of people has people with a terrible past, so I guess whites, blacks, Chinese, Muslims, etc can't be proud of their group of people because of past bad deeds.
Zip, assuming you're white, do you apologize to black people for slavery or Aboriginals for the residential schools when you meet them for the first time?

So hate speech is okay so long as you aren't running for office?
It's an issue of relevance. If you get someone running for public office who is a white supremacist, and they actually get a forum to spew their nonsense, then yes, it is worse. That's obvious.
$1:
And no you don't have to preface everything with "there are other races that have hate groups too" but by ignoring that fact and focusing on only the white groups and people you prove my point that those other hate groups are getting a pass because of their colour.
Where is that being ignored?
$1:
But answer me this. When was the last time the mainstream media posted anything about the Nation of Islam's antisemitism?
When was the last time they did some relevant? I haven't heard of westboro baptist church in a while either, because they aren't relevant.

I think he's saying don't celebrate the good while ignoring the bad. It's hypocritical to take pride in a white person's accomplishments in the past while simultaneously refusing to be ashamed of a rough history of oppression of other races.
This rings true for any race.
Personally, I think being proud of being a race as fucking dumb, regardless of what race you are. You didn't do anything, why would you be proud of it?

Except Lauren and Faith say:

And no, that doesn't make them Nazis.
N_Fiddledog N_Fiddledog:
Well you did.
No I don't think so. And I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt anyways given you can't even bring yourself to say that Strormfront is a neo-Nazi organization.
I went back and checked that line about Malkin and Ping-Pong balls--nothing about her race.

As an example, I'm pretty math-smart. My son, when he was about 8, asked "I'm smart like you, aren't I, dad?" I said, "Yes, son, you are, but it's not something you can take pride in because it was a gift; you didn't earn it." Similarly, I take no pride, or guilt, in being white.
I am a part of Canada. I have a voice and a vote. I'm politically engaged, like you and many others on this board, because we feel a responsibility to work to move Canada in the direction we think it needs to go. To my mind, I can take pride in that, and therefore pride in Canada, because I earn it. As can you for your efforts.
That's the way I see it anyways.
No, I don't apologize to indigenous peoples about residential schools when I meet them. I take political action, as well as I can, to make sure we remember, to ensure it doesn't happen again, and to fight for the legal and treaty rights the First Nations people have.
And I have a lot of Indians in my family, so it's actually no0t a completely unselfish view I have. It's personal.

They are neo-nazi. I haven't checked them out in a long time though and the last time I did I saw examples from different points on the spectrum. Some didn't seem to know what they were getting into. I don't know how deep into the neo-nazi thing the podcast Faith appeared on that one time was into it though and neither do you. I know the way she talks in general though. It's not racist much less neo-Nazi.

Did you see the part where I challenged you on what you were saying and you doubled down on your racist mockery? If not you're looking in the wrong spot.
I'm not damning you forever on it. Everybody does or says a stupid thing sooner or later. I'm just showing you how easy it would be to damn somebody forever for a slip-up if one were cheap enough to want to.

OK Point taken. I fucked up. I'll wear it.
