I'm gonna assume you mean playing them

Always!!!

The last time I went golfing, I teed off with a 1 wood and man did I get under it. It landed about 25-30yds down the fairway and it had ice on it

For the most part I don't have that problem........but when I do (like today) it makes for a LONG day. I think I have 25 rounds in so far this year.
I gave up golfing(and pretty much every other sport) after my back was broken. But I always enjoyed hitting the links. Taking a few herbs and a few brews helped though

Hey right on Strutz. I always liked having my weekends during the week
![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif)
I typically have Wednesday & Thursday off. I've been doing this schedule since September. After a little more than 22 years of working M-F it took some getting used to but I'm quite used to it now and like it. In the idustry I work in everything happens on the weekends so it makes sense.

Too bad about the back. I broke my neck playing football in high school and it gives me a ton of trouble when it starts acting up. Very painful, nerve pain is the worst. I have a pretty good handle on it now though.
I just liked it cuz I could get my stuff done like groceries and banking and such without having everyone else in the city with the day off doing the same thing.
It also made for some inexpensive "weekend" getaways and again, hardly anyone would be there.

Oooo broken neck. That would be super annoying. My L1 and the vertebrae above and below it were crushed into one "sort of" vertebra. So stuff where I twist the torso is patently UN-fun now

Yeah allot more presure on the low back too. I broke C6 and C7 but the disk at C5 and C6 is pretty crunched now.

Yeah, the low back is really getting bad now. It won't even let me sleep 7-8 hours anymore and I used to be able to sleep 10-12 a year ago.
Those C injuries are a real bitch though. I think I'd almost rather have my injuries than yours

Yeah when it flairs up sleeping even 4 hours is tough. I have to watch when I travel some of the hotel pillows leave my neck a little sore. I have a water pillow at home and it seems to work well. It's only stopped me from playing hockey and golf once but it was almost two months off.

Well guys, I gotta go crash now. I'm feeling really bagged tonight and am suprised that I made it this late. Must be cuz of the wine
Thanks for the tunes Animal, nice to have to listen to while I catch up on the news & crap in here. I sometimes randomly play stuff from my own archives for "background" music but don't always feel like making those choices.
See ya later and have a good one!

Night Strutz.........don't think I'm too far behind you.

Yikes, that's where I'm lucky, when mine goes to shit, it's only for a day or two as long as I don't do anything stupid. THat's also the only time I hit the painkillers and I gotta be dessperate for that. I hate the friggin things.
Weed however, while not as effective as a narcotic painkiller, does do a nice job of taking the edge off so I can relax a little. It helps, and it don't hurt that I enjoy the other effects

Night Strutz, thanks for tuning in and I'll be happy to relieve ya of that burden every weeknight

Have a good day tomorrow at work.

Pain killer don't do anything for me at all. Percs made my cheeks warm but that was about it. Treating the source and a little Advil is all that seems to work.
