I heard on the news last night that there are 3 possibilities that the US government is researching right now for the whereabouts of Saddam.
1) In the Russian Embassy, still in Iraq
2) On the way to Syria, in a Russian convoy
3) In his home town of birth, still in Iraq

According to war critics, the reason a country like Russia or Syria would attempt to harbor or capture Saddam is so they have a card to play against the US. Saddam apparently knows too much about what the US is capable of, which he learned throught the early years of his regime when the US was supporting him with weapons. Now the US fears that Saddam will start to talk. There is a Top Secret meeting going on in Syria today with a top guy sent by Rumsfeld.
This is where the War begins to get scary. It will never be over. The US fears too many countries and does not trust anyone. The next attack could be Syria or Russia just because of these latest developments.

I've always wondered why they'd attack suddam first, when others pose a more serious and imminent threat. I wondered if Suddam had some dirt on Pres. Bush
