No. That's incorrect. The Baton Rouge PD has said only three officers have died.
Suspect has been named as Gavin Long, a 29 year old black male from Kansas city, Mo. Today is his birthday.
Sounds like another loon wolf.
Buzz on Twitter is he is a member of sovereign citizens so possible right-winged gun nut scenario.
Only white, non-Muslim, people are lone wolves, and they are never representative of the larger group. For Muslims and blacks it's the opposite.
Right, in that case, different reports are circulating about right winged anti government affiliations:
This is Montrell Jackson. One of the cops killed in #BatonRouge this morning. His 4mo old son is now w/o a dad. pic.twitter.com/r3CcLGD4Pi

They kill role models and worship criminal scum and behavior.
He evidently attacked anything that answered the call, be they black, white, red, purple or green. The killer wasn't even from LA ffs, just another wannabe vigilante looking for his 15 minutes of fame, or in this case infamy.
No, he clearly had a colour targeted. ..that colour was blue.

Well, after the last attack on police, I said there would be more of this. As long as authorities in the US try to solve this with policing, try to go on with business as usual, attacks like this will increase. It's not good. Most police officers do not kill suspects. The problem is those who get away with it. Actually, more white people are killed by police each year than black. But the black community feel they are targeted. Police who kill a suspect in custody must be charged with murder. There was an article months ago in the Washington Post of police literally committing highway robbery. I've heard people in Canada complain that police took valuables from an arrest location. These valuables were not registered with the police records and stored in official police lock-up, the arresting officer just pocketed them. That's armed robbery by police. One individual told me he had been given a promotion at work, the individual who had been his immediate superior now reported to him. That former superior filed a police report that the other individual was dealing drugs. Of course he wasn't. It took months to clear that up in court. However, he never got back those items that police just pocketed. You see, that's what courts are for. Innocent until proven guilty. When police decide to just commit theft form an arrest scene, they're armed so it's actually armed robbery, but it could easily be a case like this. The suspect is completely innocent. So when police steal from an arrest location, those police officers have to be charged with armed robbery and committing a felony while in uniform.
I'm saying this is a larger issue. Police are not above the law. But police are treated as if they are. That has to change, police have to be charged like anyone else. And actions against offenders in police uniform have to be highly visible, to show the public that this problem is solved.
As long as the US government tries to sweep this under the rug, tries to "police" this away, it will get worse. I'm sure the police officers shot in this incident were most probably the good ones. That's the way it usually works. The bad guys continue to get away with it, and innocents who try to do good are set-up as the patsy. Do we want more of this?
