What do you get when you play a country/western record backwards ?

You get your dog back,

you get your truck back,

you get your job back,

you get your girlfriend back.....

At least country music leaves that option open. What do you get from the other genres? Shite forward and backward.

At least the other genres don't use the hackneyed chord progression of C, A Minor, F and G7. :D

Why would they with all the diversity "noise" and "distortion" settings on their amps offer? Who needs chords when you have all them fancy ear bleed makin' buttons.

The original

Heard Darius Rucker was at his child's school pageant and this was played.

He then recorded it.

I golfed with Trace Adkins a couple weekends ago. Does that count?

It might just be me but the country music today sounds like a mix of pop, rock and a little bit of real country. IMHO for pure country you need this type of[ stuff.

Where I grew up this is all we could get on the local station, well this and the hog report. Man, nobody listened to this stuff back in the 60's except the older people.

But like they say. Time changes everything. I got my appreciation of country music when I joined the Navy and the only entertainment we had at night was a 2 beer issue and a guy in the mess deck with a guitar playing country music and trust me, every mess deck had one or two guitar players.

So to me the only real country music is stuff that you can only do a two step to and everything else is just glam country meant for mass consumption just like the rock music of today.
