I am planning to visit Montreal for a few days in October. Since the drinking age there is 18, I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good first canadian beer?
If you're going to be in Montreal, might as well start with a Montreal brew.
I'm partial to McAuslan's Griffon Extra Pale Ale, myself.
Have fun!
Oh dear. You sure you want to drink? Labatt Bleu or La Fin du Monde (The end of the world) it's a strong beer, you'll like it.
Enjoy your stay and don't talk to strangers................unless they have boobs
thanks!
La Maudite.... Any microbrewery are fine
Does it really matter!?
I mean... if this is really going to be your "first" drink you will have NO idea what flavors and characteristics to look for in the particular beer you are drinking!!!??? Just go out and get shit-faced with your buddies... have a blast but just be careful!!! You want to be around to drink another day!?
He's right. Just go out with yer mates and get totally wasted man.
He just wanted to associate Montreal and his first drink, wanted to make as a special one. God damn, help the man out would ya?
If I want to get wasted on something mind as well wast on something good.
dont over drink but keep trying diff drinks till you find one you like.
If you see someone realy ugly and you need to puke hit their shoe's
If you see someone realy ugly then you're not drunk. Keep on drinking!
or
keith's or labbat Ice ,
Dude, jsut so you know,
It's legal to drink at the home under adult supervision as a minor in Canada. Drink up dude.
It would be best if that "Adult" was drunk first though. Offer to pour his drinks and just load them.
Cant offer a first beer selection (Im partial to Canadian and Blue though). But deffinitly get some Canadian Club Whiskey. Canada's answer to Tequila.
A good brewpub in Mtl is Brutopia. If you're 18 you might find the crowd there a little old, but if that's the case you can just cross the street to the Madhatter. No fancy microbrews there, but at that joint it'll hardly matter after a while....
