Whelan,

Ended up it all got changed at the last minute and I ended up driving the CTV crew around instead in a rented vehicle. They were a great crew from Ottawa. When they went to the local CTV station here they let me go in to see how they do what they do.

There was some real positive feedback from these guy's. They actually said they were sceptical of Jack Layton in the beginning, but they believe he is truly genuine. They actually said he is the most compassionate politician they have ever met.

As for Jack Layton when he approached me to shake my hand and the local candidate Charlie Angus introduced him to me (with the media cameras) everywhere. I just drew blanks on what to say. All I said was my name is Kevin.

Afterwards he just sat at the local bar table and had a beer with everyone. He was dressed in his regular close.
