This is very sad news, and I never got that sense from Jim in his posts, yes sometimes he was frustrated and down, but not without hope. I am really sorry to hear this news, we will really miss him. <img align=absmiddle src='images/smilies/cry.gif' alt='Cry'>

I'm still very young, and I must say that I can only imagine how much more frustrating the world would be if you knew what Jim knew but were not young enough to think that you would ever see the world improve. <br /> <br />I've also had battles with depression--but never this bad.

I had a lot of personal contact with him over email since he joined and it's very sad news.

   

I know Jim only through his posts. Still, I am deeply saddened by this loss. In his legacy I say we should all fight even harder to protect and secure the sovreignty of Canada. <br /> <br />Goodbye Jim <br />

   

Susan, your main page article is excellent, fitting and I think Jim would appreciate being remembered by the vive members. I can hardly believe he is gone, and really will miss his predictable dedication to Canada. It really is strange how you come to believe you know people, even though you have only met through the website. Had vive not existed I would never have known Jim or his views and I appreciate having had that opportunity.

   

Rest in peace Jim, and maybe I'll catch you on the flipside.

   

z whalen, don't be in a hurry, I suspect you have much to contribute for many years to come! Jim spent a long time working for a better world, and I think we need to consider his contributions while he was here, it is very sad that he is gone, very sad that life frustrated him so much, but we need to focus on the positives of his life. It is very sad to think that someone can pass on in this way without first reaching out. I wish peace for his family and will to do my best to further the cause of Canada and Vive in his memeory.

This is very sad news. Jim is someone who I had personal conversations with and I respected his unique outlook on Canada and life in general. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

I've often wondered about people who are active in a community and then drift away... I'm very grateful to Brad for letting us know about Jim's passing, and to Susan for putting such a nice tribute on the front page so that it didn't get missed.<br /> <br /> I guess we've all just got to work a bit harder now - one less shoulder to rub against as we push forward to where important ideals take the forefront in this country.<br /> <br /> Any chance you have more access to the PM and other people with power and influence now Jim?
