Well, right now we have five members in the NDP usergroup: Yours truly, Arky, Firecat, Mr C., and - it's a pleasure for me to welcome (belatedly) our newest member (a big Castro-Guevara fan who'll probably give us a bad name ), Stellar!
We can use this thread to welcome new members to the group. I'm sure I'll be kept really busy by this!
Any other random NDP-related thoughts can be posted here as well.

Duuuuuude, threads from NDP show up Yellow on the Front Forum page? Sweet. It amuses me somehow....
Ooo, look, Shiny Quarter....
Shit! You're right, Mr C! Highlighted on the forum page. I thought these threads wouldn't show up on the recent topics list of the forum page.
Trev has things set up very nicely.
I prefer to think of it as orange rather than yellow. I'm sure the righties will have fun with the "yellow" bit, though.
Well well well! This is a bit of a surprise, but a happy one: Welcome Rev Blair!
Welcome to the Lighter, Happier side of the Political Spectrum Rev Blair!

Welcome to Rev. Blair!
This would be a very good time for an NDP leadership race to revitalize this party. For the first time in many years we have a strongly polarized political landscape with a clearly ideological Conservative hard-liner, a new Liberal Leader who must position himself close to the centre in order to regain power leaving a gap on the left which we must fill.
This is the perfect time for us to redefine ourselves under a new dynamic leader with a clear vision for socialist Canada.
A leadership race is the perfect means to encourage that reinvigoration of our principles and ideals and revitalize the party. Not only is it to our benefit to hold a convention but also to our fellow Opposition parties. We should avoid an election too soon.
So far the only thing Harper has had to manage is the Afghan file and face it - that's defending motherhood and apple pie with the majority of Canadians (including myself- a committed socialist) Once he wades into the realm of the socialist underpinnings of our society that Canadians value his support will weaken among non-Conservative vgoters (who are, by far, the vast majority)
Jack Layton, I am sad to admit has failed to inspire. I would like to see a new leader at this time so we can once again have a real purpose in our political spectrum.
In a separate thread I wuill discuss the NDP situation in Ottawa South.
