I house-sit for one of my neighbors as she winters in St. Lucia every year. 3 years ago I popped left side of my ribs out, so wasn't checking on her house. A water line in the porch froze & split and fortunately the water escaped down a heat vent to the dug out basement and eventually found the floor drain. Still, the water bill was over $700.00. I did the necessary repairs and paid the water bill, and kept my yap shut about it. But since it was the meter reader who discovered the leak he went over to the gas station and told someone there, who phoned around town to find who would have a key to the house, my neighbor eventually found out about it. Instead of being pissed off with me, she insisted on paying me back for the water bill.

was buddy not keeping track of his bills.......how were water and Manitoba Hydro being paid??
