Just went through another election and the voters voted in Mrs Marois and her separatist party, she has promised in her first 100 days to beef up bill 101 and enlarge the Office d la Langue francais to combat the apparent rampant usage of English in the Montreal area
As an Anglo who has watched my culture decline dramatically over the last 50yrs i'm wondering if it isnt time for Quebec to go it alone as the provincial government doesnt like Anglo's detests Canada and really serves no purpose within Canada,However as long as Canada is giving the province lots of money i doubt they'll ever truly separate from Canada,Canada should start thinking about ridding itself of this albatross and the possibility of Canada separating from Quebec..

A separate Quebec will be embraced by other North American also-ran nations like Barbados and Cuba. Spread the mediocrity!

They don't consider themselves Canadian. They don't want to be Canadian. They only want Canadian money. It's deffinitely time. Adios!

I don't think so. First of all, those in Quebec who don't feel a part of Canada are free to leave. The ground upon which they stand, however, belongs to Canada, not Quebec. They cannot take that.

If Quebec is able to separate from Canada, shouldn't Montreal be able to separate from Quebec? And shouldn't the Cree--who are more likely to get a better deal from multicultural Canada than xenophobic Quebec--be able to take their land in the north and leave Quebec? Go down that road and the the idea of separation becomes preposterous.

If Quebec ever does vote to leave Canada i can see these mini separations being tied up in the courts for decades..
I also believed Quebec cant just separate from Canada as the Geology that is Quebec belongs to all Canadians, however i've changed my mind, if it takes losing Quebec to get all these ungrateful whiners out of my country then good riddance ,its a small price to pay.

I'm thinking it might behoove Parliament to define what lands would be awarded to Quebeck just in the event that they ever do secede. This would serve to make the Firt Nations folks happier and it would also help to resolve any potential disputes ahead of time.

it's a nice idea, but I doubt Quebec would accept it without a fight. Personally I think they should get the traditional pre-confederation boundaries. That would leave most of the north in Canada's hands. They won't go for it because of all the resources up there, but there is an argument to be made that if they want a pure Quebec nation like what they think would've existed if the Plains of Abraham had gone the other way then they have to settle for the boundries of New France.

Yup. Oh and the Christians stole/subverted/hypocrites/genocide/deathtoamerica on the Hallowe'en holiday.

Then the ramp up to Christmas.

I swear, Human Nature and Common Sense only have a nodding aquaintence with each other.
