I have never been there but I will be there on Friday and for the weekend. Anyone have any suggestions of what I MUST see or do when I am down there?

Havent heard anything about NO for a year or two now, would be
interesting to see if everything has been fixed, or not..

You should go to Jimmy Buffett's bar, Margaritaville. The food's good, not fine dining, but good pub fare and there's always a good band. There's lots of great blues and jazz clubs in the Quarter. I'm sure you'll find the nightlife to your liking.
If you're a Civil War nut (like me) you should check out the Conferate Civil War Museum. http://www.confederatemuseum.com/

Probably wont have time to see any museams, basicly after 8 we have time to do what we want. I'll see if we can stop at Margaritaville, thx.
