Send me a PM. I've got a friend who usually travels down there once a year. should know all the good little places.
Go there every year to play golf.
Most restaurants a pretty good, try those on the Grand Strand. Plenty of shows going on. Just visit one of the many tourist guide offices to find out what's currently being offered.
No more biker runs in Myrtle beach I hear.
Trip was successful, stayed in North Myrtle Beach at Beach Cove Resort, had beach to ourselves, no heavy traffic or crowds, think i'll make it a yearly destination instead of Florida.

Jambo101 just besure that the local collage's are not on Spring Break. I'm not sure now but back in the 80's Myrtle Beach was one of the spring break area's people went to.
I'm west of the Mississippi now so know more about where they go in this area.
many a good afternoon spent down at Myrtle, sadly not wearing anything as fetching as what we see above ...
One thing we discovered on our trip to Myrtle Beach is we can have just as much fun at Myrtle Beach as we normally do in St Pete Florida and saving ourselves the hassle of driving another 12 hours.
Bunch of us have been going to Myrtle Beach for a week of golf since 1992.
The golf courses are awesome, the restaurants are excellent, the hotels are reasonable, the one week of golf which includes carts, breakfasts, hotel accommodations and six rounds of eighteen holes is less than a monthly payment for a Honda.
Far better than anything you could get in communist Cuba.
