Not many here are happy about the money they spent on that,there's been polls in the papers for weeks about and all the columnists in the sun including Rick Bell have been ripping them a new asshole since they come up with the idea.

There's a difference between a lake beach and an ocean beach. Something you'd know if you lived in a province that has plenty of both. 
Did they claim Alberta had an ocean beach?
The pic says Alberta... but the pic isn't Alberta.
To be fair though... it also says something about "freedom to create".
But you said there was a difference between an ocean beach and a lake beach, but no one would know that was an ocean beach. Quite often ad companies use stock photo's in campaigns. Alberta has beaches so the photo isn't pushing something that isn't there.

I used to take my sons to hockey camp in Sylvan Lake each summer. Camped. It really was quite nice.

And just so you know Zig, there's a lot more than a ad complain coming out of that $25M. Like taking on Green Peace, Pembina and whats those other idiots, hmmm Sierra Club ? yeah I think thats the ones. And much more.

I used to take my sons to hockey camp in Sylvan Lake each summer. Camped. It really was quite nice.This summer will be 35 years for that hockey camp.

when we were kids we parked our trailer at Jarvis Bay all summer, we would paddle our canoe across to town. That was before the water slide or any of that was built.
Did you ever take in the midnight dances at Varsity Hall, Sunday night of a long weekend?

we camped there in the mid seventies for 2 or 3 summers.

These weren't old people's dances. But I think you had to be at least 16 tho.
The Parks guys had to go along the beach the next morning and collect all the lost virginities, from the night before. Man those were the days.

It really was a good camp too! My kids were not good hockey players, but they were made to feel welcome and improved quite a bit each year they attended.

Yeah it's a good experience for the kids, lots to do. Some of the kids that went to that are now bringing their own kids to it.
