Gorgeous pics again, QBC. Thanks for posting!

That IS some beautiful country in there.

Now..... debate going on here over freshwater salmon (I'm thinking you'd know) Are freshwater salmon covered under a freshwater license, or do you need the salmon tags for them like you do on a tidal license?

Hyack @ Thu Aug 09, 2007 10:40 am

Fisheries and Oceans Canada | Pacific Region | Recreational ...
A salmon conservation stamp ($6.36) must be affixed to licences held by ...
salmon of any legal size or species (other than kokanee) from non-tidal waters. ...

Thanks, Hyack.

I looked on a few different sites, and they didn't address that point. Now I know.

Hyack is very correct PCC and he is a wealth of useless information, OH, of esoteric information......

Yeah, no big surprises this trip Wil. We were walking back up the Willow River on Tuesday afternoon heading back to the truck. We were talking about all the deer and moose track along the river and that we hadn't seen any bear tracks. No sooner did that come out, the next sand patch had four very large Grizzle prints..... ... We concluded that the decision to head for the truck was a good one....... ROTFL

Man always one step ahead arent ya

Yeah, well if you spend as much time as I do in their world, your bound to have a few close and not so close encounters. I've never really ever had a problem with bears. I did have to bean a young black bear male in the head with a rock once. He false charged me two or three times from across the river acting all tough, so I beaned him with a softball sized rock in the head. He ran off with a headache I'm sure, making a howling sound that reminded me of a hound dog. He won't mess with people anytime soon and I probably prolonged his life by doing it.

Ya play hide and seek with the cougars, and softball with the bears.....

Have you ever thought of finding a new hobby?

I've had quite a few encounters with bears myself and have to say I would much rather play with the bears than the cats.
