The only thing worse than grocery store bread is grocery store Sushi. Fuck them both.
Bakery down the street makes awesome bread. Got a loaf of sour dough and a dozen buns ($6.50 total), and the owner threw in an apple fritter the size of my head for free.

Here is where the rubber meets the road. A war in Ukraine, Covid and a supply chain collapse/inflation spiral has exacerbated the problem but the fundamental issue is that infrastructure in Canada has been a patch quilt held together by spit, gum and guntape and no party has done serious work on that since the 1960's!!!
The piper has to be paid and JT is going to be ousted for PP because not enough has been done but we are trading the devil for the witch.
This is the result:
Good God, they had family size pkgs of 8 sausage rolls for $24.00.
Can buy them at the gas station 1 at a time and save a bundle. Got 8 in a pkg a couple weeks ago for $5.00 at another store.
I notice a tiny roasting chicken is still $36. Who can afford to eat?
Not a chain, but $70 for 12 beer at the craft brewery. Tall boys, at least.

oreos years back, used to have 2 trays of cookies. Last month, they had 1 tray, 3 rows of 10. Now they are 1 tray, 3 rows of 8. By next year it will just be packaging and 1 cookie.
Mr Christie you make shitty cookies.
Unless you buy cookies for $1 ea in the bakery section you get flavoured sawdust ones the size of a toonie. They must use food printers to get 'double stuffed' cookies with 1mm of icing...
look at ice cream section this summer. Boxes posted on sale for $8.99 and shrunk to 1.8L
rock hard flavoured sawdust . .
I like my cookies. THC butter makes the best ginger snaps.
Someone should market Turkish Delight cookies. Ginger chunks instead of chocolate chips..
