Canada and nuclear weapons

I believe that when America started it nuke progam, that it got a lot of it's materials from Canada. So, Canada probably has always been a partner.
Effectively, Canada does have nukes. Canada is protected.
Anyone with nukes is immediately put on everyone's targeting list. Does Canada feel so lonely that it wants that special attention from Russia? Canada and Russia in a nuclear standoff over ownership of the North Pole?
It is ironic that everyone wants nukes now that America and Russia have been trying to destroy them.
Nevertheless, while having your own nukes might assuage feelings of inferiority and inadequacy, penis enlargement might be cheaper.

From 1963 to 1984 US nuclear warheads armed Canadian weapons systems in both Canada and Germany. It is likely that during the early part of the period, the Canadian military was putting more effort, money and manpower into the nuclear commitment than any other single activity.

The same actions need to be introduced as accomplished with the "Ottawa Protocol". Except instead of banning anti-personnel landmines, it has to be nuclear warheads.

I thin America would love us for it. We're not on the "axis of evil" and getting a nuke would'nt put us there. America would probably see our nuke as just another bomb to launch at their future enemies.

What reason does Canada have for nukes? It would be an extremely expensive program with no benefit. Who the hell do we need to worry about that we need nukes to protect us from? Or wait, maybe we can use them on one of our peace keeping missions.

Ok... let's set up a battle scenario for Canadian Nukes.....
The Northern Ice Cap melts... Russia and Canada both claim a certain sector of the Arctic Sea based on a continental shelf that stretches across the region.
Russia puts in a couple of ships to patrol the region.
Canada puts in a couple of ships to patrol the region.
Near collisions take place and the situation escallates to shots fired across bows....
Russia sinks a small Canadian ship... a Corvette, to intimidate the Candians to withdraw.
Canada pulls it's biggest guns into the area, but doesn't have a lot of ships.
Russia makes a major show of force with it's entire Northern Fleet and threatens to completely wipe out the Canadian force. Canada has tactical nukes that could wipe out the closely assembled Russian ships....
Russian missile ships threaten cut loose anytime. They know that Canada has tactical nukes and the Russians are ready to make a quick end to the situation. What does Canada do?
Remember... the entire small Canadian force is about to be wiped out by the larger Russian force. If the Russians take the Arctic Sea... they will want to also establish a large, manned buffer zone that will extend to the Arctic Islands...
1. Canada takes out squadron of Russian destroyers with a tactical nuke demands a Russian pull back. The tactical nukes are the great equalizers...
2. Canada makes a full court press... aims for the Russian capital ships.
3. Canada assesses that the battle is already lost and withdraws and negotiates a line of demarcation with no buffer zone. A protest is filed with the Russian embassador and rants are made to the United Nations. The Russians claim moral superiority because they didn't threaten to use any nukes. Canada looks like the bad guy for posing their tactical nukes.
4. Canada asks for help from the U.S.. to militarily offset the superior Russian force.
