Butcha gotta remember BadAss, these premiers feel totally out-of-the-loop. What does it tell Canadians when the premiers want to form a "first-ministers council? It tells THIS Canadian that they feel powerless over fed. govt. policy that does NOT reflect the feeling of the constituents of the provinces, which supports the feds, fiscally, in the end. When Cretien & his lefty cronies insult the Americans, for no good reason other than liking how it sounds, Ontario hurts, AB hurts, B.C. hurts, NFLD. hurts, hell. WE ALL HURT. The feds are oblivious to this. Get 'em out, anyway, anyhow! GO RALPHIE, GO MIKE, uhh, I mean ERNIE.....

And when right-wing premiers decide that they want to Americanize Canada it hurts the entire country. I may not have voted for Jean, but at least I got to vote against him. If Ralphie or Ernie or that dick-wad in BC want to go to Washington let 'em. Don't let them come back though.

People elected to provincial positions should not be trying to meddle in international affairs. If they want to go talk to the governor of a state that's fine, if they want to go talk to the leaders of the country next to us and pretend that they represent the Canadian people then they've severely over-stepped their bounds.

Protocol is one thing, and I agree with it it the long run. But on the subject of "long runs", when you have a Federal Govt. that has had COMPLETE control over all democratic avenues, has repeatedly shown contempt of parliamentary process, has rigged future elections, and is out of control & answers to nobody, well something has to be done, MR. Blair! Right-wing? Christ, this is the first time in Canadian history all premiers have agreed, this administration SUCKS the big one, & we all pay, except the ones who caused it, golden parachutes for all the liberal hacks! Thank Christ there are Premiers who show a little bit of leadership & want to do something about this rape of our country! God bless 'em, of all stripes. Americanize Canada? Grow up!

Look at Klein's policies on anything having to do with social programs and tell me I'm wrong. He wants an American social system in here, especially when it comes to medical care. He wants Canada to become more integrated with the US when it comes to energy and agricultural programs. He's said that. He's also said that he prefers the Bush administration's policies when it comes to the environment.

To me that looks like he wants to Americanize Canada.

As far as I'm concerned, the U.S. is the greatest country in the world to live in. And if thats what the voters of AB. tell Klein, so be it! Social programs DO exist in the U.S., its just that social policy is not the nucleus of everything else! America is not the "great satan" so many of you believe. There are a number of American policy initiatives that would work here quite well. Once you get over you're ignorance & anti-American prejudice, its just common-sense!

...and the next time you call me a liar, back it up,

Rev_Blair @ Sun Jul 13, 2003 3:08 pm

From Detroit are ya? If I called you a liar, that's where you'd be from. If that's the case then you've proved it yourself by the location listed on your profile. :P

If that's not the case then you aren't bright enough to understand some pretty basic writing and have misunderstood as a result of your own illiteracy...not my fault.

If the US is the greatest country on the face of the earth, then why aren't you there? Or are you? Better yet, why are you here? There seem to be quite a few Americans on this site and they don't see fit to try to make Canada into the US.

...I don't have to tell you where I'm "from", any more than you owe me an explanation for why you live in f*cking Manitoba. My profile says "location", not family tree, you got questions, ask! I live near Ottawa, ON, tonight. My home is where my kids sleep, & there not here tonight. I commute a lot lately, that's why my profile should read " HWY 401". What the fuck are you, the "Canadaka" location dick?

ABSOLUT_SS @ Wed Jul 16, 2003 8:07 pm

...or TN, for that matter...

Rev_Blair @ Thu Jul 17, 2003 4:33 am

So you admit to misunderstanding some pretty basic writing then?

BadAssBookie @ Thu Jul 17, 2003 2:01 pm

"American social programs"...

He rolls his eyes, looks up and wonders why US seniors are buying drugs from Canada.

RoyalHighlander @ Thu Jul 17, 2003 3:42 pm

ABSOLUT_SS @ Thu Jul 17, 2003 6:42 pm
