I totally agree with this Mr Canada. All my knowledge of Canadian history I hold comes from my own reading. It's shocking how our social study and history classes focus on global, the US, Britain etc...when we should be learning about our own land!
In fact, I think there is only ONE university (someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) in Canada that offers a degree program in Canadian History. That's St. Francis Xavier in Nova Scotia. That's shocking.

Are you trying to say that, for mysterious reasons, Londoners are somehow more intelligent than the rest of the country? I bet you're a Londoner, and it's not difficult to see why the rest of Britain think of Londoners as being arrogant. If Londoners are so clever, then how come they know nothing of the world outside London? The average Londoner would struggle in locating northern cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Bradford and Newcastle on a map.
If the British are so "stupid" then how do you explain the facts that the UK ranks fourth in the world in the science league table, seventh in English and eighth in mathematics?
Compare that to Germany, which ranks just 26th, 24th and 25th respectively in English, maths and science.
When it comes to learning to read, Britain is 2nd only to Finland with 16 per cent of youngsters reaching level five, the highest reading score, and 19 per cent in Finland.
